The song gets me grooving and it’s much more melodic and cohesive than most stuff out right now (that isn’t hard though). Thank You is a lot of fun to be honest, we get the signature Brave Girls sound and groove, the girls look amazing even though some of those dance moves are a bit weird looking. Well, Brave Girls are here to bring us retro groove in spring and I love it. I mean technically the girls were blowing up around this time last year (how has it been a year? What is time, corona and war taking all of my mid twenties in the blink of an eye) so they can be spring queens as well. Now, that they have been saved from a fate most K-Pop groups face we get to enjoy their music consistently and I am so glad Brave Ent isn’t just pushing them as summer queens. I was absolutely ready for this comeback and I am so glad we have an older girl group that we can count on to deliver again. ĭid anyone think Brave Girls could do anything but miss today? I don’t think so. The girls sound and look amazing – they are truly glowing in every way. This is definitely a strong release overall even though with some tweaks it could’ve been perfect. The second verse slows things down a bit which I’m not sure was the best idea but the chorus thankfully picks up the retro energy again. The first part of the chorus is definitely my favourite part of it and it smoothly continues the atmosphere from the verses. The chorus is catchy and almost dreamy at times, the only downside of it being the second part of it for me because of that vocal filter that is a bit too piercing. Thank You starts off strong – with a melody that promises a lot – and continues into a now familiar retro territory. The song has its ups and downs but in the end it’s a satisfying release. They definitely know how to deliver this type of style, sound and concept and you can see it clearly. Thank Youis like combination of modern and retro and it works well for the group. This was a really anticipated album in general by both of us and we are happy that it definitely did not disappoint – not like Brave Girls are capable of that in the first place. The group might be crowned the new summer queens but they’re still retro queens in our hearts as well and they showcase why with this new release. The girls are back and we couldn’t be happier! 2021 treated Brave Girls well which was a pleasure to see and it’s nice to know that they won’t be disappointing in 2022 either.
